Classic Dublin Walking Tours

Lively journeys through the city's key landmarks.

Stephen McNulty Walking Tour of Dublin, at Oscar Wilde with German & Austrian Students.jpg
  • We talk about the uncanny  links between the statues and buildings, rebellions, politics, social history  and I have a few stories that maybe people would not be aware of, some funny bits also.

Tour duration: 1 ½ hours to 2 hours

  • We tell the story of the history of Ireland (Celts-Christianity-Anglo Norman-English-British-Immigration and other influences, to the modern day) as illustrated through the streets and landmarks of Dublin. My aim is to give a flavour of Ireland and Irish people, where we originally came from and all the integrations and changes that happened over the years, whether these were natural integrations or forced ones. The last part of the tour deals with more up to date themes and some modern areas/ shops/pubs etc.

    Duration: 3.5 hours

Hidden History Tours

Discover overlooked places in the city and the stories they hold.

  • This takes us along the river dealing with emigration famine etc. (where the Irish went and their influence). Rebellions/ politics/social history etc Then we move into the more modern city, Trinity College, Temple Bar etc.

    Duration: 3.5 hours

  • Originally designed to link in with the major hotels, this tour takes in most of the Georgian parks/areas, historical buildings, museums, galleries, and many off beat places to visit and tells the stories of Dublin over the centuries. Some amusing stories. It’s a very long tour but is suitable to adaptation.

About me, your Dublin Guide

History Lover. Storyteller. Dublin Resident.

After retiring some years ago, I followed my passion for Irish heritage and history to become a certified tour guide. I've authored in-depth papers on Dublin’s architecture, people, and cultural artifacts, and I've designed and led a wide range of walking tours focused on the capital’s most iconic – and sometimes hidden – historical gems.
